The title of the production was taken from a painting by French surrealist Clovis Trouille, used on the cover here. The phrase, "Oh! Calcutta! Calcutta!," employs a phonetic French pun, "Oh! Quel cul t'as!," loosely translated as "Oh! What a lovely ass you have!" Profusely illustrated with b&w photographs from the original New York production.
